I make sense of technology so that you don’t have to.

Are you a little too attached to your phone? Do you doubt all the advice you see online because it's aggressively right-wing? Then you’re in the right place. I’m a UX Designer by trade and a writer at heart.

We can’t fix our relationships with technology by relying on our own individual willpower. We can’t fix it by shutting off our phones, ignoring the world, and being more “productive.” In a neoliberal society, individual blame becomes everything. We are seen as personally responsible for our relationships with technology, and if we have “negative” relationships with technology, this is a moral failing. There are several problems with this approach:

  1. You are being blamed for something that was never your fault in the first place.

  2. The impacts of technology extend beyond our individual selves and into the collective.

  3. You cannot fix anything by living the same life with less phone. We need radical change.

  4. The problem isn’t your phone, it’s capitalism.
